Christian Fielitz

Berlin-born Christian Fielitz, resided for many years in Madrid and since 2015 in Bangkok. He trained at UDK and Art Academy Weissensee, both Berlin. His artworks encircle furniture design and illustrations but his first love is painting. 

The paintings are usually inspired by the city and capture scenes we experience for a moment when we intentionally or accidentally step away from the busy routes. Christian distills & transforms his perceptions of everyday routines into visual storytelling on canvas. Glimpses of stillness & tranquility in the middle of a buzzing Bangkok, inviting the viewer to linger a while, to slow down, pause and maybe reflect.

What is special in his work is the way he captures light - in every meticulously executed painting, the light swims and dances, sometimes overpowering and sometimes timidly hinting at secrets in the shadows.
